New York Highway Use Tax Permit ─ NY HUT

 

The NY HUT is a permit required for all commercial vehicles traveling through the state of New York with 18,000+ lbs gross weight. Just like for KYU Number, quarterly returns are required, each vehicle should be reported, and applying for the permit is a must. It takes 4-8 weeks for the permit to become active; however, expedited permits are also available.
