Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax 2290 - (HVUT)
An owner of commercial heavy vehicles of 55,000+ lbs gross weight is required to file 2290 return each year between July and August or not later than at the end of the month following the month of the purchase of vehicle. Confirmation of filing the return is also required to be eligible to register a vehicle under International Registration Plan.
